Description

One line

Sea of Tranquility is a sea that breathes with you: the wave rises and you breathe in, it falls and you breathe out, with no voice, on Earth, on Mars or among Saturn's rings.

One paragraph

Sea of Tranquility is an app for breathing more slowly, made of landscapes. A sea, the dunes of Mars or the rings of Saturn set the pace: the scene rises as you breathe in and falls as you breathe out. There is no guiding voice and no recorded audio (the landscape and the sound are generated live), and you don't need an account. It is on Apple TV and in any web browser; it is free to download and has a one-time Pro purchase inside.

Long version

Sea of Tranquility is an app for breathing more slowly and watching a good landscape for a while. You pick a destination, a rhythm and how long, and the scene sets the beat: at sea, the wave rises as you breathe in and falls as you breathe out; on Mars, the dust lifts and settles; among Saturn's rings, the ice rises toward you. There is no guiding voice: the landscape is the guide (if you like, a soft text that says "breathe in" and "breathe out" appears).

There are six destinations in three worlds (Open sea and Beach on Earth; Acidalia Planitia, the North Pole and Jezero on Mars; and the rings of Saturn), each with its own times of day and its own light, and a moon in the sky that shows today's phase. There are five breathing rhythms (Gentle, Calm, Coherent, Box and 4-7-8) and a Sail mode, to travel through the landscape with no guide and a steady horizon. The landscape and the sound are generated live: there is no recorded audio.

The Apple TV app is free to download with Open sea and Beach; Mars and Saturn come with Pro, a single purchase, and each destination can be tried for a minute first. It also runs in any web browser at mardetranquilidad.com/app/. No account is needed. It is made by Webstarted Games. It is not a medical treatment and does not replace a health professional.
