Follow the wave
The wave rises, you breathe in; it falls, you breathe out, and the foam stays. On Mars the dust breathes; at Saturn, the ice of the rings. Sessions from 1 to 10 minutes, or endless. The breathing patterns →
Sea of Tranquility › Relaxing game
Pick a place and stay. The wave rises and falls at the pace of a slow breath; if you want, breathe along. On the sea, on Mars or among the rings of Saturn.

Free, on the web and on Apple TV: Open sea and Beach. Mars, Saturn and more times of day at sea are Pro: on the web you can try them for a minute, and in the Apple TV app a one-time purchase unlocks them.
This is the app, drawing itself live in your browser.
It’s a Webstarted Games title, but not one with levels or reflexes. It’s a game about being somewhere: the landscape moves slowly and you keep it company. Nothing to win, nothing to lose.
No points, no levels, no lives. You can’t get it wrong: if your mind wandered, look back at the wave.
No timer to race against. A session lasts as long as you chose and ends on one last out-breath, with nothing sudden.
The screen never shakes, nothing flashes, nobody talks. Just the landscape and a sound that comes and goes, both generated live.

No breathing guide: a boat moves slowly across the sea and, on Mars, you cross the dunes like a rover. The horizon stays level, so you don’t get seasick. At the end you see how far you got.
The landscape stays in the background while you work or study. Each minute adds a star, and the session draws a constellation you can name. If you stop early there’s no penalty: a cloud drifts by.
On the web.
From 15 to 60 minutes: the waves settle down and, at the end, the picture and the sound fade out together, slowly.
On Apple TV, for now.
Open sea and Beach, on Earth; Acidalia Planitia, the North Pole and Jezero, on Mars; and the rings of Saturn. Each has its own times of day and its own light, and the moon in the sky shows today’s phase. Nothing is recorded: the code draws the landscape and makes the sound on the spot, so it never comes out the same twice.
It opens in the browser on your phone or computer, with no account and no sign-up. Once opened, the web version installs as an app and works offline. On Apple TV it’s a free download with Open sea and Beach; Mars and Saturn come with Pro, a one-time purchase.
No. There’s no score, no levels and no game over. If your mind wanders, just look back at the wave.
No. The web version opens in your browser, on your phone too, with no account. If you like, you can install it as an app and use it offline.
Today, in any browser and on Apple TV: the app is a free download from the TV’s App Store, with Open sea and Beach; Mars and Saturn come with Pro, a one-time purchase, and you can try each destination for a minute first. iPhone and iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android, Google TV, Fire TV and Windows: coming soon.
No voice and no recorded music. The sound of the sea is generated live and comes and goes with the wave.
It’s a game for slowing down, not a treatment. If you live with anxiety or have a health concern, talk to a professional.
Three minutes is enough to know if it’s for you.
